Lightworkers have the potential to do the same if they believe it will help the greater good. How many people were crushed and killed under the communist system because it was believed it'd help the greater good.

That shows my previous point. Lightworkers have the same potential for corruption/deception/abuse of powers as darkworkers. The reasons for it will be completely different, but the outcome is the same.
On the other hand, darkworkers have the same potential as lightworkers for being ethical, productive, beneficial to society as lightworkers - for completely different reasons. For example, I (as a darkworker leaning person) aim to be ethical, to never lie, to always treat others fairly because I believe it will get me much more then trying to cheat and lie to others.
