It's interesting to note that there's many different physical/energetic responses we get as confirmations from within from the universe in addition to outer synchronistic manifestations. Just living your life and following your excitement is a great way to start creating them and consciously taking note of your experiences through experimentation will help you learn the associations between a certain feeling, such as the minty feeling you described, and guidance from the universe.
It may come in the form of tingles in particular parts of the body, radiating energy flooding your body, a series of taps, pressure in one or more of your chakras, a particular feeling arising, or so on. Like your intuition, it's something you have to investigate for yourself and explore through some simple experimentation.
