As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't register domain names with web hosting companies. You may have problems transferring them later on (and I reckon they wouldn't really want to provide name servers for your domain if you were to switch to another host at some point). It's best to use a company like
godaddy.com for domain registration, and a separate company for web hosting.
If you do intend to switch to another host, I recommend
pair.com. There's probably no other shared hosting company that's equal to them in reliability, security and customer service. They're by far not the cheapest around, but well worth it. I've been with them since 2004, and before that I must've gone through at least three other hosts.
