There seems to be a good way to guage this too when it comes to if you are really taking or giving to self. Giving is when you take care of self and taking would be when you neglect self with the false assumption that you are giving to self (risking health, happiness, relationships). If I watch 5 hours of television a day, I can guarantee you that I am taking and not being a lightworker. If I work all day and come home and watch an hour of television I am giving to self. My flesh needs rest and relaxation. I can even pop open a can a beer. I'm still probably giving. However, if I start opening more cans of beer and my television time increases taking away from my family then I am taking and not being a lightworker.
I think you get a certain feeling when you know it is giving or taking. You just feel spirtually good to relax after working hard.
So, basically I figured out for myself what a lightworker needs to do. Always be giving to God, family, coworkers, employers, service workers, self etc. etc.
Never be in a taking situation. Taking would be when we over eat, get drunk, smoke, watch too much tv, gamble to much, surf on the interest too much. Basically, the 7 deadly sins comes to mind. You are not serving anyone any good except your ego.
I really appreciate Steve talking about polarity. It has brought a lot of things to my attention. This is the best article I think he has written. For me it is a no-brainer to be a lightworker. I am a Christian and it falls within Christian values. I don't want to be judgemental, but I just don't see how a Christian can be a darkworker. I think it could be unhealthy too to be a darkworker. It's almost like you would be ready to emplode from worrying about taking all the time and being one up.
