It's my 'inner brat' LOL.
Having a much better day today thank goodness. I want to get A today and tomorrow to go out with a bang
I think part of the problem is that sometimes I just get stuck in to something then because of the blessed tick sheet, I have to change to something else.
However, it has confirmed what I know about myself and I have actually come up with a way forward in terms of time planning.

Interestingly, I am like this when I do academic study as well - for the first couple of years (of a longer course) I do well (unless external factors really screw me up) then in the third year I go through a 'can't be bothered' phase and have to get a couple of crap marks to make me pull my socks up again.

The hardest thing in this whole challenge really is the piano practice. It is tough and any parent out there wondering why their little darlings are rebelling against their piano practice should have a go themselves! Learning a new piece is slow, hard, dedicated work and requires a certain manual dexterity and exercise of memory and reading those symbols (especially the one's 'off stave' - I have had to resort to a pencil to write the names of the notes way up off the top or below the main staves!) - remembering what is sharp or flat, what has been 'neutralised' (can't recall the technical term) as you plough on through - and the way it sounds so hideous compared to the piece played properly - so easy to revert back to what you know.
