I feel as you do. I think focusing on Polarities is a mistake. The motivation is the same for people in either polarity: what will it take to maximize my personal happiness. People give because it makes them feel good and they take because it makes them feel good. If you are doing something for the benefit of others you are just as much doing it for yourself. If I offer my life for my country or religion I must have a belief that it is my duty to do this and thus to carry it out will make me feel good about myself.... lightworker for my country or religion a darkworker for the life I have taken and their family, its just a matter of perspective. The most balanced people give and take. When your balanced it is not about yourself, its just about the moment.
