I kind of wish the intention-manifestation focus hadn't been about money. I was a little surprised that the Million Dollar Experiment came from Steve because the truth is that if he (and many others) were serious about it the experiment would have lasted a day at the most.
My understanding is that at the time of the experiment Steve owned 2 profitable businesses and Erin had a successful business of her own, the couple has an excellent credit rating, "good 6 figure income" and their home was paid off. Anyone in that position can walk into their bank and borrow a million dollars. Bang! -a million dollars, manifested in a day - tax free!
In that sense I guess I agree with the original poster's comment. How badly did the participants really want that million dollars?
The Million Dollar experiment was a success but I think in the opposite direction of what Steve was hoping for. It proved that passive intention-manifestation is pointless. Repeating the mantra was effectively on par with "wishing" for a million dollars.
Had anyone coupled the I-M practice with personal action I think there would be a few millionaires on that list.
