I can identify with this original posting as my family is very conservative and not too accepting of my abilities. It has taken them years to accept them and sometimes now they don't completely. I think its important to accept yourself and appreciate your own gifts sometimes.. I think there is something in the Bible about young men and women being given visions. This ability is given to us by the divine, it is our choice to use it for good or bad. My abilities sharply increase to pretty undeniable levels after an accident and I was in the middle of adjusting to this situation when I began to say things to people they hadn't really told me about. Finally I was subject to ridicule and even called a 'freak'. But it really wasn't my fault that I had this accident or that I suddenly had this ability. Think of it this way... 'the brightest pin-point of light is ever so noticeable in the darkness'.
