If the UK is anything like the US this stat is based on projections that house prices will continue to rise. I'm most interested in wealth stats that don't include the value of people's homes because that means people are getting richer on paper just because inflation is out of control (home price inflation). What does this say for the folks that don't own homes? Are they getting richer too. No. They are getting poorer because their wages are steady while prices are going up.
