I could not agree more. Make a decision to be healthy rather than set a goal of weight loss. Take it from an experienced life long rollercoaster dieter. You have to change the way you think about food and the way you eat for the rest of your life.
Personally, I had an epiphany one day - that I was mistreating my body with my eating habits. Subjecting myself to abuse, if you will. Something I wouldn't tolerate from anyone else in my life. Yet here I was, hurting my own body every day. Telling it I didn't love it by giving it things with a superficial yumminess that were really killing it. (Besides all the "treating emotional issues with food" issues).
