I personally believe there were the two streams:

One: the president and the cabinet(Dick Chaney etc.) that knew about the attacks (there is one interesting interview where Bush on the question of if he knew something about 911 in advance he reacted with:"It's Politics... well it's politics...." and literally almost cried..)

Two: absolute demolition of WTC with necessary collateral casualties had to be done to bring the US public to absolute outrage and vendetta-seeking and it was accomplished by intra-government para-formations if not entirely by private sector(the notorious private boutiques that US secret services like to use) without direct knowledge of higher-echelon(i.e. Bush and his coworkers) but that doesn't clear Bush of any responsibility, in fact it accuses him even more of negligence and could send him to life imprisonment sentence.

I don't know what caused the explosions in the three towers, but it surely wasn't the hot air... i personally wouldn't believe that it was an inside job until i saw the blasting squibs and heard the taped explosions, and the fact that WTC has not have the gas plumbing(it has mandatory all-electrical stows) and it has CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM.

Also i see the NAU as a good thing, but only if led by people loyal to the interest of the people and not to the interest of few. If it will be for the interest of few then i don't see it nothing different than the Hitler's Nazi Europe.
