well, i do see some similarities. i am not usually comfortable sharing the specifics of what happened in my own experience, at least not publicly. it involved something quite dramatic, and my expressed wish was very specific and concrete. then it happened, probably happened within five minutes of me expressing the wish. the experience was unnerving.
at least you got your wish granted, and that growth happened, even if you didn't knowingly seek that experience for the brother or that person.
