Napoleon Hill vs Tony Robbins
I think you guys miss the point.
These are two totally different people with different approaches to self-development.
Napoleon Hill was not influenced by Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins or any of the contemporary Self-Development "guru". They were all influenced by Napoleon Hill in one way or another.
There are people who love Tony Robbins that have never read anything written by Napoleon Hill.
In all honesty, if you studied the lives of both men, their life was a train wreck until some event occured which made a significant, LONG-LASTING change in there life. Both had great failures in their lives, from business to personal life and both had marginal success until their "event".
Hill's turning point in his life was meeting W. Clement Stone and going into business with him, not meeting Andrew Carnegie. From the time Hill met Carnegie until he met Stone, he had several failed businesses, two failed marriages, multiple lawsuits...not quite the great "success".
Tony Robbins real turning point in his life was a Guthy-Rinker infomercial.
Both of these guys have GREAT messages and I am a huge fan of Napoleon Hill but I would have to chose Tony Robbins because he is more contemporary and I would love to learn more about NLP.
