I would like to know what especially your are liking and admiring!
I saw the Tony Robbins (youtube-) videos some days ago and they are all very strange to me. For example the CNN-interview (with Larry King): Excuse for the harsh words, but some moments he just reminded me of a monkey - Tony's way of speaking and especially his exaggerated way of using gestures and facial expressions. I permantly asked myself: Why can't that nervous man just sit there and tell for a moment, is he on drugs? I would not have friends who are that exhausting to listen to.
And on those videos where you see all those thousands people in a stadium with him - isn't this just as in rock concerts were people unconsciously throw away there minds for the ultimate feeling as being in the mass? Isn't that will to throw away your mind with the support of the mass dangerous?
I just cannot understand these irrational ways how those "here's what works"-idiologies are presented, and the way they (incorrectly) use (scientific) justification, or how the protagonists put themselves or their messages over them.
James Arthur Ray is even worse, when for example telling that physicists found waves in the microscope (sic!). Isn't it obvious, that especially he is just self-addicted? I mean, look at his face!
I understand that emotions are important to get into action, but I do not understand why these coaching people are so obsessed with self-presentation. (I have my guesses). If something is true and they are sure it will work, there is absolutely no need to shout it out like a child. One could be serious and moderate about it, that exaggerated way of permanent emphasis is rediculous to me, and reason to mistrust.
