I think Star Trek has wonder about spirituality/nature.
The beauty of space takes away from the videogame of money we live (trapped inside) every day.
Just watching Earth from orbit gives you a perspective about how Earth is one planet, not a collection of kingdoms at war.
I recall the first time I approached Mars... it was just... amazing...
Then you realize how we live trapped in our 2D microworld of economy and daily life, like bugs in a hive, while outside reality is bigger and encourages you to have a more spiritual view of reality.
