get yourself a nice big knob of ginger.
peel it, grate it, and simmer it in some water.
when it smells really spicy and fragrant (after 10-15 minutes), pour into a mug.
add the juice of a whole lemon and an assload of honey -- way more than you think you should. the point is to make the drink equal parts hot/spicy, lemony, and sweet.
drink it down. get as much of this into as you can.
