The word "meant" implies an intention on the part of some observer. Even allowing for this, I'd disagree. I think we are capable of understanding it, eventually. Maybe not today, but perhaps tomorrow.

I've long felt that the notion of God was most accurately represented as the summation of all the connections between sapient beings. Thus, I do not distinguish between those two concepts. We are angels, messengers of ourselves, paradoxically greater than ourselves, and the credit and blame for all the good and the bad ultimately falls upon us, strangers intimately familiar with ourselves.
