It's funny you should mention the Vision Statements. . . I just started working on mine today. It's really fun! Let's all make one! I'm using Windows XP as well, and didn't have any problems downloading photo story. Can you not download a service pack from Windows Updates? If you can't get photo story working, I bet you have Windows Movie Maker on your computer already and that would probably work, since you can use still photos and transitions and music.

I read the post on the blog you mentioned and tried getting Photo story. I couldnt install it cause I had Windows Media Player 9- you need at least WMP10.
I tried getting WMP10/11- but it wont install cause I dont have a service pack. And I dont want to get a service pack...free downloads are available- but I always end up getting some problems with SP2. I had it before and then uninstalled it.
I guess I could try Windows Movie Maker-
