Yep, yep, yep. I've heard stories like that, and I have a few of my own. My opinion is that it should be up to the person to decide whether they like the subject in question. That's a decision that the person himself/herself should determine by what's between the shoulders, not what's between the legs.

Of course, when you're a kid and you're taught otherwise, it can take a long time to realize that you've been had by others' stereotypes of what you can do based on things beyond your current level of control.
