I definately do not think that the typical personal development books will be timeless. They are written to satisfy the needs of a modern person with renaissance ideals. It's highly probable that a new romantic era will come sometime in the future and in that context the PD books will not be very interesting at all.

I don't think that there is such a thing as a completely timeless book, but Dostoyevskey, Steinbeck and a thousand have written some damn good stuff.
