I like Urban Dictionary. That definition sounds just right, and fits me.
I'm not very social with mainstream people, but that's just because I haven't tried it much. I mostly hang with other geeks because non-geeks just aren't interesting. Geeks can be interested in anything, every geek has a different set of interests and they explore their interests deeply. Why would you want to hang out with someone who only has shallow knowledge in the same subjects as 80% of the population?
