how's that for good "data protection"?? "we can't give out personal information about people, cough cough, but actually... it's all true"
--glad to know we have such stalwart guardians of the laws about institutions' ability to disclose personal data!
of all the things steve says, i never even thought to question his claim about graduating in 3 semesters because he was so specific and repetitive with the story, and because i disagree with going about college in that fashion (having spent 9 years in academia myself, ha) so i don't think it's anything to brag about :-)
--my beef with steve is his "you have created the world" malarkey. i simply know that i would never create certain smelly people who gravitate next to me on the subway, not even at my most masochistic. ;-)
about once a month i notice something in my daily life and steve's essay will pop into my head, and i will think "not in a million years, even if i were bored silly by being the creator, would i have chosen for this to show up on earth", i then think, "darn you, steve pavlina!" because it's like a viral meme, this idea, and you put it in my head - aaugh.
