Oops!
Forgot to mention that I have been gluten free for over 6 months now. Unfortunately discovered that I must have been gluten intolerant all my life which accounts for some of the malabsorption problem. I learnt that it can take anything from 2 to 10 years for the gut to heal after such a long exposure. I'm facing an uphill battle. The other malabsorption comes from pancreatic insufficiency, seemingly caused by gluten intolerance, now that I've done the research and have all the facts. I get kind of angry to think that doctors that I pay to look after me are totally ignorant of the facts. However, I may be down, but not out!
