Joelr: Those are very good questions. We probably won't get any answers here though. I expect that most of those brilliant people are too immersed in their work to surf forums.
Everyone: Earlier I checked out some sample IQ test questions on a site. Some of them looked very similar to GRE questions (e.g. analogies, number relationships). I suppose that the GRE is a type of IQ test then?
