blossom i agree it can occur at any age, though what you shared from your own experience sounds like it was temporary. to me, that is a sort of different issue from the ones related to aging.
of course i tend to think many physical concerns have a metaphysical component, such as a person who gets laryngitis and who wants to speak his/her truth but doesn't.
