If I can say one thing about hearing loss...it doesn't matter what age you are, hearing loss can occur anytime, or any other malady these days...I've heard of twenty one year olds having strokes and heartattacks these days brought on from all the drugs they take.

I have experienced it myself (extreme hearing loss) in my early twenties and before I turned thirty, and I also have family members who had the same issue.
I went totally deaf in one ear for a period of 4 weeks and no amount of syringing or Hopi Indian candling seemed to help.
I thought it was my bodies defense against a world that I found way too noisy and couldn't spend too much time out in public because of...but it turned out that my nanna had an over-active wax gland (if you believe that one!) and it seemed to be the problem!

Toning on the other hand is a different thing! I've had different experiences of this too, and thought it might be Tinnitus at first, but came to understand it as some sort of external preparation that was being done to me?
