Once again, I don't believe that religion in and of itself is bad. Further, the intentions of a given religion are many times good (I can think of some that did not of good intentions toward anyone but the creator).
However, like any TOOL, people can use religion for good or evil or (if you are a moral relativist) create and destroy.
