Hi Dave,
I use email marketing a lot and find it's incredibly effective. I try to personalize it quite a bit and always send free tips and advice and anything else I can do to keep it from seeming spammy. The key is to deliver some good value so you train your list to trust you and get them used to opening your emails.

Inside the List if you are thinking of doing this. I know the authors and have it myself....incredibly insightful.
