Metaphor sure, but a metaphor is not something you can live by. Life as a game is an appealing idea, because gamers tend to persevere despite repeated and constant failure, until they get good, and enjoy every minute of their play despite it being often stressful. That is why I think the metaphor needs to be made concrete somehow, so living life as a game is a realistic possibility.
