a few days ago i overheard an Asian woman casually discussing about this with a novice Monk - very interesting: from the little i grasped, though, it MIGHT be that Tao/LoA is linked to the lower planes of consciences only -
so a "limited transcendence" ??.
i had never thought about it, but it would make sense, since when reaching the Upper Planes of Enlightenment you are supposed to "escape the Karmic Wheel"
ironically,
would Transcendence lead to Immanence ??.
