I am having this mind-wracking dilemma weather I should move to the USA or stay in Romania for a while longer.

Somehow, I have this idea that in the US, I can meet more people like me (who are into Tai Chi, personal development and other interesting stuff), while here, I feel that there are almost no people like that, although this is probably not true... Besides, I also feel that it would be easier for me to connect with more people in the US, because there are so many interesting events, workshops, courses etc, where you can meet people. Basically, everything I read about on the internet is happening in the US - conferences, workshops, courses, cooking classes, you name it. All the authors I read - they reside in the US. There are hundreds of blogs about every subject I love, written in English by people who live over there. I don't see this happening here as much. I am worried that by staying here even 1 year longer, I could deprive myself of wonderful opportunities to connect with wonderful people.

Then there is also the issue of money - can you give me any tips on how much would cost me to rent a cheap room somewhere in a large American city like NY or LA ? Do you know if non-citizens are allowed to rent rooms? Stuff like that...

Any input would be appreciated.
