gosh, I'm just in the same situation as you are now... I was asking for something and finally I got it, but not exactly what I wanted (not 100%, although we never know where this might bring us)... I'm afraid I didn't have enough courage to just "jump" because my mind was overwelming trying to pursuade me it wasn't really logical, while my intuition told me to follow my "heart" (same old story - heart vs. mind), so I kinda let it flow... There is still a chance that I might still get it (it's also a job overseas) and I think I'll take it if the universe gives me another chance ...I had way too many synchronicities about this one, it's just only a question of courage to be able to trust and "jump" (Steve's new video helped me a lot considering being courageous)..
And I do believe that Active life position attracts luck, so go for it and let us know how it's going!
