You have goals. You just don't recognise them as such.

Some people have bigger goals, some people have smaller goals. Some people approach their goals more deliberately than others. Some people choose their goals more consciously than others.

But everybody has goals.

Every living thing, in fact, has goals.

Why did that little bird land on the ground and start pecking around? Its goal was to find a worm to eat. Why did your white blood cell try to engulf that little bacterium? It was trying to defend your body against illness. Why did that tom cat go fight with the other tom cat? Its goal was to mark out and defend its territory.
