It's whatever you want it to be. It isn't a test-unless you think it's one. And why would that make it a test? Because you're trying to figure out where your own values lie.
You can make 1 million dollars sucking people off or stabbing them in the back. "The Universe" will let you do it either way. There's no external force judging whether your actions are "right" or "wrong". That's for you to decide. If you want to make a lot of money by a means you consider honest, do it that way.
And for the record, you'll be "tested" nearly every time you make a decision to grow. Stepping out of your comfort zone doesn't eliminate the old pattern. Instead the old pattern clings as tight as it can and you'll be given ample opportunity to fall into it, or create a new pattern which is somehow even less desirable than the old one. Like Steve says, creating a new pattern in line with what you want takes courage.
