A new way of looking at it!
There are some different things that work for me in times that I have to be around negative people. First off, I stay very conscious, I use my physiology by keeping very good posture. The human body is amazing. A half inch difference of straightening your posture can make a big emotional shift. I then mentally remind myself that no one can make me feel anything, only I give myself that authority.
I know it's not always easy to do this but I swear that practice make perfect. Also remember that many people live their lives as a very childish level of awareness. Nothing against them. But, when they are reacting, they are reacting like a child would. When I see this behavior, I see it as a chance to be the adult in the situation and be compassionate. People don't really mean to be negative and grumpy, they are just doing the best they can with where they are at in their lives.
