I mainly wanted just to say that I think you are doing very well. Most people in your condition (hell, llike you said, even people in way better condition) would just sit and complain, you actually work on yourself, dispite any issues you have with your health!
I am not sure if it will help, but have you tried meditation? For me it helps with pain in my period, I still feel the pain, but it just seems further away.
It may also help with keeping your hearth beat down. I understand it is a medical condition, but I can imagine that thinking about it will already cause you some stress before you get up, and makes it worse when you are actually up. So, meditation might help you calm down a bit.
