I've done it looking at myself in the mirror. As soon as you focus on your face or blink you quickly change back to normal. Much like when you're seeing auras (your own and others).
This is especially interesting when done under the influence of LSD. I saw my face disintegrate down to the skull, my face was just a skeleton. Also by staring at my hand I was able to watch it age in an instant. The features of my hand grew old, withered and lifeless. This was not a hallucination, it was what I was seeing. However bad that sounds it wasn't actually a scary experience. From what I've gathered Under the influence of LSD you can see into the future past our rigid linear time structure. I was looking at the aging of my hand and its molecular structure which obviously already contains the certainty that it will eventually turn old, wither and die. This is just a fact and more proof to me at the time, that time, is indeed just an illusion.
I’m not sure if the experiment mentioned in the first post can be related to my experiences but maybe it would be something that can be looked at especially when taking into account that the changing of the features of the face could be related to past (future?) lives outside of our physical time structure.
