In your position perhaps you should be grateful you realised higher education isn't what you want to do, to know sooner rather than later, even if a day, is still better than finding out a day later. Take some time to work out what you truly wish to do, you'll find a way to make it work if you really want it to.

My advice is don't bother following a path you know doesn't suit you, it may seem selfish but then...a happier person is better equipped to help others.
