I don't know much about the educational system over in USA, but here in the UK you will find more and more people who went to university but found that it hadn't benefited them in their line of work. There are many exceptions to this of course, but I believe these days employers are equally likely to employee someone with high school qualifications, and experience as someone fresh out of university.

And of course one of the key teachings in personal development is that to truely make a decent living you should be doing what you want to do. It seems quite obvious really, who really wants to work hard in a job they don't like?

In your position perhaps you should be grateful you realised higher education isn't what you want to do, to know sooner rather than later, even if a day, is still better than finding out a day later. Take some time to work out what you truly wish to do, you'll find a way to make it work if you really want it to.

My advice is don't bother following a path you know doesn't suit you, it may seem selfish but then...a happier person is better equipped to help others.

Best of luck.
