The Soul mate as many women dream about is an optimistic view of a character that just doesn't ride into your life on a shinning charger. Soul mates are molded like two lumps of clay. The more alike the clay, the easier the transformation is. The more dis-simularities in the texture of the clays the harder the mold becomes. But it's not at all impossible if you know where the strengths and weaknesses are in the mold.

I think the soul mate Idea discounts the work "and discipline" that needs to go into the molding and "setting" of the relationship.

I wish I had a dollar for every woman who "thought he was my soul mate".
