I think you could just as well sing happy birthday, if the faith and believe in good would be behind it.
it is not so much about the words, as it is about the energy that you are sending.
Demons I believe do not exist as we know them. Maybe there are being that are very low vibrational and religion has called them demons?
(disclaimer: I have never encountered a demon or tried to do an excersism. I hope I never will).
