I agree with Guru Shakti (except for his purple writing) and most others.

Honestly thinking about what you once had, or who you once thought were doesn't do any good.

I don't know about you all, but I'm big on playing poker tournaments. It's similar to once having a huge stack of chips that out numbered everyone. Then losing 3 or 4 big hands and ending up being the short stack. The player usually doesn't wait for the best opportunity to bet the rest of the short stack of chips and bets the rest of it at horrible times instead of waiting for the best opportunity. For whatever reason, it's a natural human trait.

The point of the story is stop thinking about the big stack. You are still playing. Think about the mistakes you've made and try to learn from the best you can and try not making them again.
