What is EIT?...Is it the same as EFT?......Can you throw some light on that.. |
Congratulations on diminishing the frequency by increasing your self esteem! That alone proves that the previous uneasiness was more of a pattern in your mind than it was from you picking up on actual danger from whatever might actually be around your bed as you try to fall asleep.
Emotion Interrupt Technique has it's roots in the Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) which has it's roots in the theory of acupuncture meridians and also emotion-organ associations. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is also based on acupuncture meridian theory and utilizing vibrations.
From the little I know of EFT, it requires that the participant think of the stressful feelings, which might include remembering events that tend to bring up those stressful situations. While thinking of that, the participant taps on meridian points on the face or other parts of the body. This at least requires knowledge of where to tap. Repeating these steps in the future may be necessary for the same issue.
NET requires that the participant see a practitioner versed in knowing which spinal vertebrae junctions have which nerves that go to which organs of the body. This technique also requires that the practitioner determine the original event where the particular issue was hard-wired into the participant's physical system. The practitioner uses a form of muscle testing the participant to find the original event. As the participant thinks of the original event, they are instructed as to where to place their hands on the front of the body (over organs) while the practitioner taps along the spine. This whole process is designed to neutralize the electrical patterns in the nervous system thus neutralizing the emotional spikes and upwellings. This technique is instant and so far seems to be permanent.
My adapted Emotion Interrupt Technique is similar to NET in that it still requires being aware of the original event for specific issues, but it does not necessitate having knowledge of meridian points, which organs are associated to which emotions, or requiring someone else to tap along your spine.
I create a mini-movie for you that represents a possible original event and then you'll focus on those images as you do the hand and body movements that I will describe to you in detail if you're interested in trying it. Basically, all it takes is starting with your left palm on top of your head and your right hand on top of your left hand. While thinking of the original event and moving your body enough to get vibrations along your spine, you'll be tracing your hand combination over the front of your body, then switching hands and doing the same tracings while thinking of the original event. It's that easy.
