Thats a great way to put it, really touches on the spirit a lot, you just have to remember always that you are just spirit, and you are experiencing life on Earth as a Human.
You shouldn't be afraid of 2012, or even worried about it at all, because what ever happens you will always be who you are, maybe not in the same form, but you will still be.
Fearing death or the end, which there really is no such thing off, is for those who are still not fully accepting that life never stops, but is infinite and will always continue no matter what.
