By not making decisions you are making decisions nonetheless...decision to stay where you are
If it is a year abroad you want then keep looking for that kind of internship, don't get discouraged
But make sure that this is really what you want now, and not just a way of convincing yourself that you're doing something to change but when you get a chance you find some excuse to back out of it.
