Yeah quicktime pro, does cost a little more though, but actually I find it a really handy quick program to do things in. If I want to edit simple footage it's really easy, you just set your in and out points and select cut and bobs your uncle.

Last night I used it for adding a soundtrack to a movie clip, all I did was open up the original movie, made sure there was an in and out point at the beggining, then opened up the soundtrack copied that and selected, "add to movie". Save and your done!
