Well I really don't have much to go on except for the fact that a girl will tell you right away in the first meeting the following: "you don't have problems with getting girlfriends. You look really good and as I know you, you would be a very lovely and "good" boyfriend... etc"
This makes me think why would they even say this the very first time you meet them? Well it sounds like you are either asking her to be your girlfriend right away or you come off as too needy or you come on too strongly.
When you first meet a girl whether you know her already or not, you shouldn't be trying to imply that you want her to be your girlfriend. This is the time to get to know her, find stuff about her, what are her interests and disinterests. You want to ask her if she will have dinner with you or do something fun together. You should not be asking if she will be your girlfriend or you are looking for a girlfriend which makes you come on way to strong.
