Mainly for three reasons:
1) The probably inflated numbers for deaths in Mexico right after the first outbreak.
2) The theoretical explanation of one of my professors:
While seasonal flu changes every year there's still the assumption that your immune system doesn't have to start at zero to protect you against the seasonal flu.
Swine flu is on the other hand something that doesn't happened in the last ten years and therefore our immune system has to start at zero.
3) It's similarity to the Spanish flu that killed ~20 million
That said I won't vaccinate myself.
