I'd like to suggest that you might find it very interesting to attend a meeting of your local Mensa chapter. You can find it here:
American Mensa | Local Groups (assuming you are in the USA). You probably know that you need an IQ in the upper 2% to join. A local member/officer would probably allow you to attend a meeting as a guest. If you enjoyed it, you could take the test to join. Seeing high IQs in action, personally, should give some real insight on your question.
