I used to drink everyday. But now, I only drink on weekends. It was easier than I thought. I did it for money and for health. But I did not have a real drinking problem.

I don't think you have to turn cold turkey. Alcohol, for me, was an habit, now it is a pleasure. Moderation, it is all about it.

Now, opening a good bottle of red wine (with all the money I save not drinking from Monday to Friday, 17pm, I can buy better wines) is a joy and a delightment.

Alcohol is not so bad according to Dr. Richard Béliveau in his book "Les aliments contre le cancer". Here is a list of what we should eat to prevent cancer:

Garlic
blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
Brussels sprout
broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower
cress, spinach
curcuma
shallot, onions
linseeds
black pepper
soya
tomato (paste)
cranberries (dry)
grape
black chocolate 70 %
Citrus juices
green tea
red wine

You see ? Red Wine.

How can you have a good dinner with friends without wine ? I wonder.

Now, for the side effects... It depends on how much you are drinking. You can have sweats during your sleep, but I didn't. All I caught is a light cold and a cold sore... But now, everything is ok.
